Jan 24 It's Time For A Challenge - Let's Learn To Cookie

Hey there, it’s been quite a while! Oh man, why is my relationship with creativity so off and on? I’m either posting up a storm or I’m ghosting for a year, it’s exhausting and I’m the one doing the ghosting! I needed something to pull me out of my funk so I’ve decided to challenge myself with cookie icing.

For the next three months I’m gonna jump in the absolute deep end and post a cookie a day to Instagram, flaws and all (well minus the sight of a snottery, teary me because I promise you, there will be tears). And then, on the following Monday I’ll upload a summary of the wins and the fails here. There won’t be tutorials yet as I’m still learning myself but stay tuned. Okay, getting a little better. There’s definitely some lumps and bumps but no craters, yay!

Getting my pattern on, whoop whoop! I really enjoyed getting the edible pen back out for this one but my poor thumb did not!

I had so much fun here! The piping fatigue had well and truly set in so I gave myself the night off with some texture instead and oh man, did it brighten my spirits

I finally had to remake one. The first version of this was just not right at all, from the texture to the colours and composition, it had to go. BUT I freaking love the do-over and cookie do-overs are way less stressful than cake, score! Head on over to Insta if you wanna see the fail
